Banks Ram-Air Dry Intake RAM 6.7L 2013-2018 42255-D

Update the air intake on a 2013-2018 Cummins-powered RAM with the Banks dry-filter Ram-Air kit. This earlier-generation system is listed separately from the 2019-on intake to avoid model-year mix-ups.

Vehicle application

2013-2018 RAM 2500 and 3500 with 6.7L Cummins diesel.

Before ordering

Match the factory intake layout and check clearance around conversion components before ordering.

For imported or right-hand-drive converted vehicles, verify the original US specification and any conversion changes before ordering.

Related Banks upgrades

The RAM transmission pan shown requires the 68RFE six-speed transmission. It does not fit an Aisin or the later eight-speed transmission. Match the remaining upgrades to the stated pickup years and 6.7L engine.

Matching filters and optional pre-filter

This complete intake already includes one filter. Optional replacement elements: 42141 (oiled, clean and re-oil as directed), 42141-D (dry, do not oil). Choose one media type; you do not need to buy both. Replacement elements are optional service spares.

The 42255 complete intake is the alternative filter version for this application; choose one complete intake. Other related upgrades are optional and must match your vehicle year and engine.

Optional matching pre-filter

Banks 42658 is the matching optional outer wrap for filters 42141 and 42141-D, including Banks RAM intakes 42255 and 42255-D. Wrap, main filter and complete intake are separate products. Dry and oiled filters are alternatives; choose one. The wrap is not waterproof.
