About the Holden VB Commodore

The Holden VB Commodore was introduced in 1978 and became the first model in the Commodore family. Developed as a smaller and more fuel-efficient replacement for the Holden Kingswood, the VB combined European-inspired design with Australian engineering to create a vehicle that would become one of the country's most successful automotive platforms.

Available in sedan and wagon body styles, the VB was offered with a range of six-cylinder and V8 engine options. Today, the VB Commodore remains highly sought after by collectors, restorers and Holden enthusiasts looking to preserve an important piece of Australian motoring history.
