The Banks Monster Exhaust is ONLY true 5" DPF-back exhaust system for 2024-2026 Chevy/GMC 2500/3500 Duramax 6.6L trucks. Increasing diameter from the stock 4" to 5" from the DPF to the tailpipe results in a measurable decrease in exhaust backpressure. This reduction in backpressure liberates power during the exhaust stroke, sharpens turbo response, and increases fuel economy.

Innovative Electronics
In 2024, GM added additional emission-related checks for the exhaust system, measuring the Diesel Particulate Filter's pressure differential. When exhaust back pressure is reduced after the DPF, such as with a 5" exhaust, the engine control module thinks the DPF is over-full with soot and reduces engine power to protect itself, when in reality, the DPF may be empty and free-flowing. To overcome this obstacle, we engineered the Banks Exhaust Pressure Control Module (U.S. Patent 12618353), which installs in-line with the DPF delta pressure sensor. The module recalibrates the DPF pressure sensor signal to the ECM, providing corrected data while permitting significantly improved exhaust flow.
